Anthropic, a generative AI startup backed by Amazon, is in early talks to raise funding at a potential $40B valuation, according to The Information. This follows Amazon’s recent $4B investment, including a $2.75B tranche in March. Other backers include Google and Salesforce. Anthropic’s main competitor, OpenAI, is also raising funds, targeting a $150B valuation. Recently, Anthropic launched a business-focused version of its Claude chatbot. The company has yet to comment on the latest reports.
